TOP 5 PRODUCTS TO BRING ON A SURF TRIP

1. Castaway Organic Blend Surf Wax: Castaway offers two types of surf wax the Tropical wax is used in 70 degree and up waters. It’s an Eco-friendly performance wax that is made using renewable resources such as soy wax blended with natural coconut oil for scent. Even the packaging is all about being green. The label is recycled paper that bears the responsible forestry seal, printed with soy based on presses powered by clean wind generated energy. The Cold wax is also available and is used in 60 degree and below waters.

2. The Manda Organic Sun Paste & Sunscreen: Manda is a natural skin care product that also protects the environment in which we live in. They use the highest quality of natural ingredients leaving out synthetic chemicals and stabilizers that many other skin care products use. They use only food safe, organic ingredients that you are more then familiar with such as organic cocoa, organic cinnamon, zinc oxide, organic almond, organic shea butter, organic coconut, organic beewax and thanaka. Thanks to manda we are keeping our ocean safe. Reefs provide beautiful, natural playgrounds for all ocean goers, especially surfers and divers. P.S. something to think about when purchasing your next sunscreen. Ingredients commonly found in chemical sunscreens, such as Oxybenzone and Octinoxate, can awaken coral viruses. The coral then becomes sick, expelling their life-giving algae. Without these algae, the coral “bleaches” (turns white), and prematurely dies. Each year an estimated 8 million lbs. of sunscreen washes off ocean-goers into coral reef environments.

3. The 1mm wetsuit jacket from Billabong: This long sleeve neoprene jacket with front zip is my go to item whenever I am traveling. What I love about this item is the simple fact it’s a jacket. Therefore zip it up when your cold and zip it down if you get hot, because believe me their are days out there when your in-between cold and hot and your not quite sure what to wear.

4. Swimwear: A bikini with one goal in mind giving women the freedom to embrace sunshine, surf and everything travel can mean. Now we all know how hard it is to find a bikini that will stay on during our surf session but by trial and error I have defiantly found my favorite models and brands. One of them being from June Swimwear: the Nora bikini top. This triangle form will leave you get your tan and it’s triangle back tie will give you the support needed in the water. I love to pair this one with the Manue reversible bikini bottom. Created perfectly for the traveler who believes in packing light and fits perfectly for the women those dreams are chasing waves. My favorite color of her collection is Tea Tree!

5. The Surfboard: Last but not least I thought I would share with you my surfboard! The model I ride is called Blackout and it’s from the Super Brand. This board is actually designed for pro level surfers, made by Adam “Sparrow” Fletcher. It has a full rocker with medium rails, pulled in nose and rail with a round tail and three fins set up. Now this board is definitely more advance then my personal level but I have now been riding it for one year now and have been discover all its perks. This has been my favorite ride by far and I am looking forward to progress my skills on this board.
